Â
SBMA Chairman and Administrator Wilma T. Eisma and SBMA LED Â manager Florante Tolentino received the equipment.
Â
According to Pollescas, the donation costing P209,225 was given under the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
Â
Eisma thanked the utility company for its “malasakit†for the SBMA and the Subic Bay community, and added that the donation would go a long way in strengthening the capacity of emergency responders in the Subic Freeport.
Â
Eisma stressed that SBMA responders also extend assistance in the neighboring areas of Olongapo City, Zambales and Bataan during fires, floods and other disasters and emergencies.
Â
“So this donation from Enerzone would really go a long way,†the SBMA chief said.
Â
Eisma also noted that the company has previously provided a similar emergency-response package and had annually contributed to the upkeep of SBMA ambulances and emergency-response vehicles.
Â
Pollesca meanwhile said that the company has already donated identical sets of emergency gears to four barangays in Olongapo City.
