Introduction
The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority - Gender and Development is a systematic set of programs, activities and projects with clear objectives for addressing gender issues. It is a broad platform used to educate and enlighten the society about gender-equality. Also, to pursue efforts to eliminate discrimination to create a gender-responsive community.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE
ANTI - VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN SUMMIT
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority - Gender and Development launched its first “Anti-VAWC Summit†on November 21 to 22, 2019. Nearly 300 Anti-VAWC officers attended the event from Olongapo City, Municipalities of Zambales ( Subic, Castillejos, San Marcelino and San Antonio ), Municipalities from Bataan ( Dinalupihan, Hermosa and Morong).
Different gender advocates from government agencies were invited to speak about their advocacies to strengthen the Anti - Viollence against Women and their Children.
SUBIC BAY PRIDE CELEBRATIONS
Gender equality cross the spectrum of human sexuality leads to Subic Bay PRIDE celebrations!
SBMA GAD celebrates diversity, equality and acceptance thru Costume Parade, PRIDE March and Gender Forum. This colorful event is participated by SBMA officials, SBMA employees, locators, students, schools and organizations in and outside Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
WOMEN’S MONTH
It’s a celebration! SBMA is a proof that women are active agents of development. GAD continues develop perspectives and processes that are participatory, empowering, free from violence, respectful of human rights, supportive of self determination and actualization of human potentials.
VIDEO MAKING CONTEST
To immortalize ideas and concepts dealing with women empowerment, gender equality, gender concerns and issues, SBMA GAD will launch a short film competition to the public. This is to address different dilemna and perspective to win abuse and discrimination among genders.

RADIO CAMPAIGN STINGERS
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority - Gender and Development boosts its advocacies by using broader platforms. It launched its first radio campaign stinger contest that was participated by different schools, colleges and private organizations from Subic Bay Freeport Zone and its contiguous areas.
GENDER HOUR RADIO SHOW
We are ON-AIR! SBMA Gender and Development has its own radio show that tackles timely gender issues. It is being aired over 89.5 FM My Subic Bay Radio - SBMA’s very own FM radio station located inside Subic Bay Freeport Zone. You can listen to “The Gender Hour†every Monday from 9am-10am on your radio dials and online via Facebook LIVE and twitch broadcast app.
