CORE FUNCTIONS:
1) Collects, prepares, examines processes and analyzes blood urine and other body fluids and substances based on Quality Standards set by the Department of Health (DOH);
2) Acts as Drug Test Analyst; processes and sends necessary Drug Test documents for confirmatory test to Accredited Confirmatory Drug Testing Laboratory;
SUPPORT FUNCTIONS:
3) Acts as 7’S Officer;
4) Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic equipment issues, while coordinating with technical support or service Engineers for complex repairs or replacements as necessary;
5) Adheres to ISO and 7’S Standards adapted and implemented by the department
6) Attends monthly staff meeting
7) Attends Flag Raising/Lowering Ceremony
8) Attends SBMA and Department’s activities
9) Participates in relevant training sessions, seminars, workshops, lectures, and courses as part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support professional advancement and meet certification / licensure requirements; and
10)Attends In-House Training; BLS/FA Training, Code Blue/MCI Drills, Protocol Updating and Re-familiarization and Continuing Education (CF Publication).
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Public Health
1 year of relevant work experience;
4 hours of relevant training; and
RA 1080: Medical Technologist
Additional requirement:
*Relevant Trainings on the following:
-Drug Testing
-HIV Proficiency; and
-Basic Parasitology
Documentary requirements:
1) Application Letter addressed to Mr. Vicente A. Evidente, Jr., Acting Deputy Administrator for Administration;
2) Recently taken passport size photo;
3) School Transcript of Records and Diploma of the highest educational attainment;
4) Certificate of Civil Service eligibility and/or valid applicable License;
5) Relevant Training Certificates; and
6) Certificate of Employment attesting the relevant experience held from authorized official/s (current, previous employment, including volunteer work on a full time basis).
