Minimum requirements:
*Bachelor of Nursing; and
*RA 1080: Nurse
Additional requirements:
**With at least 1 year relevant experience; and
**With minimum of 8 hours relevant training, preferably Basic Life Support, Cardiovascular Life Support, or Basic Occupational Safety and Health
Job Description:
1) Provision of essential health care services:
-Responds to emergency calls within SBFZ by boarding an ambulance, and provides immediate care and necessary interventions;
-Conducts initial assessment, takes vital signs and sorting of patients based on their medical conditions;
-Performs nursing procedures and treatments as ordered by the Medical Officer on Duty (MOD), such as but not limited to giving medications; per Orem, IM, SC, IV insertion, wound dressing 02 Therapy, nebulization and eye and ear irrigation; and
-Documents patient’s assessment, interventions, and responses during ambulance run.
2) Assists during patient’s examinations and minor procedure;
3) Assumes full responsibility of work place/area of assignment upon endorsement from outgoing staff to include monthly collateral duties;
4) Accomplishes proper documentation as assigned and when applicable: Patient’s logbook, Patient’s record/chart, Ambulance run/Transfer forms, 24-Hour logbook, Equipment logbook/checklist, Dispatcher’s logbook, Recall forms and MCI checklist;
5) Submits accomplishment reports, as determined by the assigned function/s;
6) Operates medical equipment including but not limited to cardiac monitor, AED, ECG machine, pulse oximeter, patient monitoring devices and other respiratory support machines;
7) Provides health advice to patients and their families on healthy lifestyle, disease prevention and treatment;
8) Conducts authorized medical standby during SBMA events and activities;
9) Adheres to infection control protocols by cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance and medical equipment after use;
10) Maintains/upgrades competency & skills through attendance to relevant trainings, seminars and in-house activities to include completion of skills inventory-written & actual, code blue/MCI drills, lectures/demonstrations, informal on-the-job teaching, protocol familiarization & updating, continuing education publication and other activities; and
11) Adheres to ISO and 7S of Good Housekeeping Standards adapted and implemented by the Department; Attendance to the monthly staff meeting, Flag Raising/Lowering Ceremonies, and various SBMA and Department’s activities.

3. School Transcript of Records and Diploma of the highest educational attainment;

6. Certificate of Employment attesting the relevant experience held from authorized official/s (current, previous employment, including volunteer work on a full-time basis).
