Monitors herd health, including checking regularly for ill or injured animals and keeping up to date on vaccinations and deworming, keeping records on herd health management, feeding and feed purchases; Monitors and maintains a grazing management schedule and monitors pasture quality during grazing season; Ensures welfare standards are met for herd by keeping with the five freedoms: food and water, absence of pain, social activity, ensure good health, and freedom of movement; Implements new technology which minimizes cost and enhances yield; Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in care and movement of livestock in the farm.
