ABOUT USThe Visa Processing Office was created by virtue of Republic Act (RA) No. 7227 under otherwise known as “the Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992â€, particularly under Section 12 (g) thereof and as further stated under Chapter VI, Sections 62 to 75 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the said law. In line with the policy of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to develop the Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone (or more popularly known as the Subic Bay Freeport Zone) into a self- sustaining, industrial, commercial, financial and investment center, the Visa Processing Office is mandated to ensure the freedom of ingress and egress to and from the Subic Bay Freeport through the issuance of special types of visas to qualified foreign nationals, including the monitoring thereof by implementing the compliance and enforcement of relevant Philippine Immigration laws and rules and regulations of the SBMA and the Philippine government.
