About Us

Inclusivity as its core purpose, the Office of the Deputy Administrator for Health and Safety renders public health and safety services to all stakeholders in the Freeport community, through its Public Health and Safety Group, to ensure health and safety concerns are addressed effectively and efficiently.

MISSION

To render public services and empower the Health and Safety Group in providing the best medical, occupational health, wellness and public safety programs, services and systems for SBMA employees, locators, residents and other stakeholders in the Freeport and the surrounding communities.

VISION

To be a future-proof frontrunner among government agencies in creating the best practices in public health and safety, committed to advancing the health, wellness, and safety of the agency’s employees, locators, residents and other stakeholders.

OUR FUNCTIONS

• Ensures the implementation of national laws and the SBMA rules and regulations related to public health and occupational health & safety.
• Formulates public health and safety-related policies consistent with international, national standards and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Leads the strategic planning, human capital development, operations and management of the Public Health and Safety Group.
• Safeguards top quality services rendered by the Health and Safety Group.
