About Us

The Management Information Systems Office (MISO) supports the SBMA's Strategic Business Units (SBUs) in their mission-critical functions through the implementation of cost-effective, reliable and innovative IT solutions and the provision of expert technical support services.

VISION

The MIS Office shall be the catalyst in interconnecting the SBMA and the global community in a robust and secured IT infrastructure encompassing various IT equipment, systems, mission-critical applications, approved policies and contingency plans.

MISSION

To support the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority in its overall aims and objectives and its Strategic Business Units (SBUs) in their mission-critical functions through the implementation of cost-effective, reliable and innovative ICT solutions and the provision of expert technical support services.

Quality Policy

It is the policy of Management Information System Office to oversee the utilization of Information Technology infrastructure based on the approved Information Systems Strategic Planning, to support its critical function through the implementation of cost effective, reliable and innovative Information Technology solutions and the provision of expert technical support services. MIS adheres to the agency commitment on the highest standard of quality by steadily moving toward excellence in all aspects of work and at all the levels of organization.

To undertake the overall design and implementation of computerized systems in accordance with management-approved priorities.

    • Troubleshoots computer problems concerning virus removal, internet and email access, network connection, installation and configuration of office productivity software, among others; as reported by end-users.
    • Performs preventive maintenance, repair and periodic auditing of deployed equipment.
    • Conducts technical evaluation, testing and deployment of ICT equipment, peripherals and spare parts.
    • Conducts briefings on office productivity applications and fundamentals of proper computer operations, usage and security.

    • Develops and implements the overall security, control policies and procedures throughout the Agency's IT infrastructure.
    • Ensures a secure and reliable network connectivity for all SBMA departments/offices.
    • Administers and maintains operating systems, databases, e-mail systems, internet access services and related software products running on enterprise servers .

  • Systems Design Division

    • Conducts detailed systems analyses, and designs, develops, tests and implements requested information systems according to the Agency's business requirements, including preparation of system documents (technical and user manuals), and provision of end-user training and end-user support.
    • Manages the implementation of outsourced information systems to ensure that these are completed on time and at an acceptable level of quality.
    • Evaluates software packages, as requested by SBMA department/offices, and makes appropriate recommendations.
