2022 Subic Bay Women's Month Celebration





Theme: "Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya"


ACTIVITIES:

I. Webinar on money management - a financial literacy webinar by the invited host - Raymond Sagum on March 29, 2022, Tuesday. For those who have not yet registered please send your name and email address to djjepsz291987@gmail.com. Deadline of registration is on March 11, 2022.

II. ULTIMATE COOK-OFF COMPETITION – A cooking contest that emphasizes the importance of healthy cooking amidst the pandemic.

Mechanics:

1. This is open to all SBMA personnel regardless of status. The event will be held at the SBMA Mini-Golf Course on March 31, 2022, Thursday.
2. Each business unit (Administration, Business and Investment, Operations, Public Service, Legal Affairs, CHAD, Regulatory Group, Finance, Tourism, and Municipal) may send two (2) contenders – One (1) Male and One (1) Female.
3. The competition shall have two (2) categories: Best in Main Dish and Best in Food Carving.
4. Each team must participate in the following categories. Winners in both categories may come from the same group of participants.

A. Bahay Kubo Challenge – Teams must come up with a vegetable dish with the ingredients that will be revealed during the competition proper.

Criteria for Judging:

Originality 30%
Palatability 50%
Presentation 20%
Total 100%

B. Food Carving Challenge – Fruits will be available during the competition proper. All carving, assembling, peeling, and cutting shall be done during the actual competition. Toothpicks and barbeque sticks are allowed to be used. Wire, glue, and artificial coloring are NOT allowed. An entry must have a title and brief description that should be emphasized during the judging

Criteria for Judging:

General Presentation 40%
Artistic Ability 30%
The precision of Cutting and Trimming is 30%
Total 100%

5. Each contender shall provide its cooking materials and utensils.
6. They will have an hour and thirty minutes to finish their dish.
7. This activity will strictly follow protocols to prevent the COVID-19 virus. Contenders must wear face masks and face shields throughout the event. No spectators are allowed during the event. They must also observe the orderliness and cleanliness of their respective areas.

8. Cash Prizes:
Best in Bahay Kubo Challenge: Php 10,000.00
Best in Fruit Carving Challenge: Php 10,000.00
Non-winners (Consolation Prize): Php 5,000.00 each team.

9. A contender may only be declared a winner in one (1) category.
10. Judge’s decision is final and non-appealable.
11. Register your SBU representatives (1 male, 1 female) by sending their names and email addresses to djjepsz291987@gmail.com. Deadline of registration is on March 18, 2022.

III. ANTI-VAWC QUIZ BEE - The quiz bee shall cover general questions on Magna Carta for Women, Anti- Violence Against Women and their Children, and other related laws.

1. It is open to all Olongapo VAWC officers.
2. The group will write their answers on the answer sheets provided. All groups will answer the same set of questions in writing. Before the question is read, the group must raise their markers.
3. The easy round has ten (10) questions worth 3 points, the average round has ten (10) questions worth 2 points, and the difficult round has ten (10) questions worth 1 point.
4. The questions will be read by the quizmaster twice. After the second (2nd) reading, the Quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the groups be allowed to write their answers. Automatically, the (10) second-time limit will begin with the word “go” by the Quizmaster.
5. The group ranking will be based on the highest number of points after the test.

6. CASH PRIZE:
1st Place Php 10, 000.00
2nd Place Php 7, 000.00
3rd Place Php 5, 000.00
Consolations (2) Php 5, 000.00

IV. SPOKEN POETRY TIKTOK CHALLENGE - The contest aims to create a powerful story around the theme “Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya!”. It will share modern Filipina women’s success stories and celebration of effective leadership amidst these trying times.

Mechanics:

•Open to Olongapo VAWC offices and SBMA employees ages 18 and above.
•Submitted videos must focus on the theme “Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya!”
•The video must use the song produced in 2008 by the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW) as the theme song for the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women – “Babae, Bumangon Ka!” by Girly Torres - Brillantes & Valliant Torres. You can download the song at https://library.pcw.gov.ph/babae-bumangon-ka/
•Participants must also submit a PDF copy of the poem.
•Video material must be in Filipino and must be 60 seconds long.
•E-mail entries to thegenderchannel@gmail.com. The deadline for submission of entries is on March 15, 2022.
•Material will be uploaded to the SBMA Gender and Development’s official YouTube Channel – The Gender Channel.
•The decision of the judges shall be final and unappealable.

Originality and Creativity 50%
Online Appeal 10%

Prizes:
Champion: PHP10, 000.00
1st Place: PHP7, 000.00
2nd Place: PHP5, 000.00
Consolations (3): PHP6 ,000.00
