About Us
The Telecommunications Department is primarily responsible for providing SBMA with professional service and technical support on works and activities relating to the planning, design, specifications, provision, procurement, installation, operation, repair, servicing, maintenance, and administration of various SBMA owned-and-operated technology systems in the field of electronics and communications.
Functions
- To render Electronics and Communications Engineering services for SBMA projects.
- To provide 24/7 voice communication services for SBMA.
- To provide audiovisual services for SBMA and Tourism events.
- To undertake the lifecycle support of electronic devices and communications equipment for SBMA.
- To maintain safety, security, electronics and communications infrastructures within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).
- To operate telephone call center, service helpdesk facility and telecommunications installations for SBMA.
- To administer the cost-efficient expenditure of SBMA funds for communications expense and electronic equipment outlay.
- To ensure that installation and operations of all SBMA owned Electronics & Communication Systems comply with all the existing Policies on Environmental Management System, Gender responsiveness, cautiousness to Occupational Health and Safety and Regulatory compliance obligations.
